A rivalry that dug its roots during the lockdown everyone had to endure during the COVID-19 outbreak

The initial edition of this EAST -vs- WEST team golf showdown occured when we couldn’t even make it a trip.

So we call year 1 of the Coastal Cup, THE COVID CUP, which ended in a tie. 

Fittingly enough, both captains of the East and West were roommates, so the cup had a natural shared home. 

Ever since that tie, the West Coast Captain of the year has continued to hold the cup.
